About Us

The Lake Ogemaw Summer Resort Association (LOSRA) is a non-profit organization 501(c)(7) incorporated in 1969.  LOSRA was formed to promote the general welfare of all property owners in the Lake Ogemaw Development; to promote reasonable standards of use of all designated parks, boat ramps, picnic areas, and other recreational areas for all lot owners. Lake Ogemaw has currently 820 property owners and 1348 registered lots.

Lake Information - Lake Map

Lake Ogemaw is an all-sports private lake for lake association owners.  The lake started development in 1963.  The lake has approximately 420 acres with a spillway lake level of 792 feet about sea level.

No wake areas are posted. No wake hours are before 11:00am and after 7:30pm. The lake is patrolled by DNR and the local sheriff's office.

8 miles east on M-55 from West Branch, then 2 miles south on Rifle River Trail. Take the "business loop" left.  North Ogemaw Trail is across from the Association Clubhouse at 2916 Rifle River Trail, West Branch, MI 48661.  We are also just one mile south of the Ogemaw County fair grounds entrance. 

The Association

Lake Ogemaw Association consists of Board of Directors and various committees. The Association has 4 principal missions:

  1. To continuously maintain the structural and functional integrity of the dam and spillway.
  2. To continuously protect, preserve, and enhance Lake Ogemaw.
  3. To require that all property within the corporate jurisdiction of the Association be kept in a decent, safe, sanitary and blight-fee condition.
  4. To use the powers granted by the Act, to preserve and enhance the health, safety and welfare of all Association members.
